Their is a possiblity that the Low Pressure Area (LPA) will become a storm on Friday in parts of Central Luzon.
Pagasa weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said, the LPA persists in 1030 kilometers to the east of Central Luzon (16.2 ° N, 133.0 ° E).
Though still away from the Philippines, the LPA said empowers the impact of southwest monsoon.
If the LPA will become storm and enters the Philippine Area of Responsbility (PAR), it will be called the storm "Ferdie."
"Once the LPA develops into a tropical depression and enters the Philippine territory, it will be named" Ferdie ", and will be the sixth weather disturbance to enter the country's area of responsibility this year," according to official.
Due to this situation, the residents of affected areas are advised to prepare for possible flooding and landslides.
"Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms becoming cloudy with widespread rains over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides."
They also reminded those small vessels from the possible growth of the waves in the ocean.
