Storm Ambo, Typhoon Ambo raises storm signals in Luzon - PAGASA


The Storm Ambo strengthened slightly but the good news is that it is gradually turning its direction to South part of Japan.

Although it is not expected that the center of the storm to hit in some land parts of the Philippines it will continue to bring rain across Luzon and Visayas will also be affected because of the extent of the Storm Ambo.

According to PAGASA, the center of the storm was defined lately in dawn in distance of 220 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora.

It has strong winds reaching 75 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of wind reaching 90 kilometers per hour.

This Storm moving North Northwest at a speed of 13 kilometers per hour.

Right now, Storm signal No. 1 is still raised in Catanduanes, Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Polillo Island, Aurora, Isabela and Cagayan.

Because of this, PAGASA warns the residents in areas affected by the storm to prepare for possible flooding and landslides.

Also, they prohibits the sea transport even the fisherman to drift into the sea in some part of the Eastern part of Luzon.
