PAGASA warned thos who are living in low lying areas of the National Capital Region (NCR), related near areas and western sections of Visayas due to the large possibility of rain and increasing water level.
This is due to the active Low Pressure Area (LPA) in the eastern part of Luzon, which intensifies the southwest monsoon causing some thick clouds and heavy rain.
The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was last sighted based on satellite and surface data at a distance 320 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora.
Among the areas with intense rain is Zambales reaching 30 millimeters of rain per hour, large volumes of rain are also expected in Ilocos Norte, La Union, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Metro Manila, Rizal, Mindoro; Iloilo and Negros in the Visayas and Sulu in Mindanao.
Based on satellite image of PAGASA in their Project Noah, it would be a rainy day so it was advised to bring an umbrella or any protection against the rain, while those in areas with intense rain rate should be alert from the possibility of any announcement about class suspencion.
